For the second part of my Shortest Day photo essay I headed down the coast to the East Cleveland town of Redcar.
In the 18th century Redcar was a popular holiday destination after the railway arrived in the town.
Today their where still people walking on the beach and fishermen selling fish from their boats on the promenade despite the fact that it was so cold.
Photographically the things that appealed to me where the Fishing boats and the waves.
